WARM & AROMATIC · SYZYGIUM AROMATICUM
Cloves
Hand-picked buds from the Western Ghats — high in volatile oil and eugenol.
ORIGIN & PROCESS
Harvest & Timing
Cloves are the unopened flower buds of an evergreen, picked in the narrow window before they bloom. Timing is everything: too early and the bud is underdeveloped, too late and it opens and the oil is lost. They are sun-dried until deep brown and hard, then sorted to remove stems and headless buds.
